Every time we send a package, the transport releases CO2. To ensure that we are as environmentally responsible in this respect as we are in others, we plant a tree for every fourth package we send. The Ficus sycomorus trees are planted at the northern end of Lake Eyasi in Tanzania. It is said that this local tree species’ dense root system and leaf canopy allow it to store a large amount of water. Hence, as well as neutralising the CO2, it also contributes to conserving freshwater springs. |
