All our greetings cards, gift tags and calendars are printed on FSC-certified paper.  FSC (the Forest Stewardship Council) is committed to promoting environmentally friendly, socially-responsible and economically-viable forest management.  The organisation evaluates the manner in which forests are managed.  To take account of the specificities of each region of the world, FSC principles are translated into national standards.  One of the key aspects of FSC - which is independent of any government and political party, as well as being market-driven - is that it includes all stakeholders with an interest in forests and their being managed sustainably.  There is a strict inspection system for use of the label: it is not just the owner of the forest who needs to be certified but also every other link in the processing chain (chain of custody).
